Sometimes, you get the most unexpected validation from spirit, God, the other side, etc. I got one I didn’t know I needed. As many of my stories do, this one started with TikTok. Not mine, but someone else’s. In it, a woman shared a story about how she lost her brother. She decided to ask him for a sign that he was still around. She asked for a purple elephant and a blue bird.
If you’ve been through the blog, you may have read my post on death. Towards the bottom of the post, I give some ideas about how to ask for signs from past loved ones. While I was writing the post, spirit suggested I tell people to ask for purple elephants. It’s odd and fairly uncommon, so that sort of sign is harder to justify as a coincidence when you do see it. Very common things such as a crow flying by are easy to brush off. Ever since that post, I’ve shared the suggestion of asking for a purple elephant in client sessions and in interviews and podcasts.
As the woman’s video continued on, she shared how after asking for the sign, she had an urge to clean out her trunk. In it was a kid’s puzzle that featured a purple elephant with a blue bird sitting on its nose. I lite up with happiness at this video.
I have no idea if this woman got the idea from me or if she came up with it on her own or some other way. It doesn’t really matter, she gave me such a gift by sharing this story. Watching other people get validation from spirit is so huge to begin with, but she did so in a way that gave me a nod from spirit too. Even if this idea wasn’t from me, spirit still shared with me that what I’m sharing here is making a difference. Spirit did so in the most spirit-coded way too; it makes me so incredibly happy. I didn’t even know that was a message I had asked for, but it came through loud and clear. Thank you stranger and thank you spirit.
