This last Friday I had the realization that I hear when the Schumann resonance spikes or a solar flare hits. I head it as the ringing in my ear – the same symptoms as tinnitus. It lasted about 10-15 seconds and only came through my left ear. I checked the charts and found that there was a spike. When solar flares hit the earth, it causes a change in the ionosphere that shifts the Schumann resonance. Solar flares are bits of radiation put out by the sun that hit the earth. Solar storms and flares are what cause the northern lights or aurora borealis to appear – if you’re able to see them in person, especially when they are brilliant and visible to the naked eye, you’ll likely be able to hear it there as well.
The Schumann resonance is the vibration of the earth – it generally vibrates at 7.83hz. It’s the sound of “ohm”. Whether you’re fully aware of the hum, you’ve likely been impacted by changes in the vibration, perhaps just unconsciously.
I like too far South from the brilliant northern lights that are visible to the naked eye, but they do show up in Washington, especially around equinox season. I’ve been chasing the lights for years and have had success in capturing them on camera in years past. It hit me like a ton of bricks when I realized I was sensitive enough to hear that shift. After I heard this energy, I spent the next 14 of 19 hours sleeping. I was exhausted, weak, and felt a bit drunk. It was very disorienting.
I can’t say if it’s led to anything else happening spiritually yet. There are theories out there that these kinds of energy hits can help you increase your ability to connect with spirit. I’m not convinced of that yet, it anything, spirit feels a bit more quiet than usual. Maybe spirit will show up louder later, I’m not sure.
