I’ve had this blog concept sitting in my drafts for over a year, likely because I’m intimidated to write on the subject. But, as Spirit does, I’ve gotten several nudges today that this is what we need to talk about. There are entire books written on this subject, so this will be somewhat basic, but it should give you enough to get started in a practical way.
Before we get into the how-to, we should define what manifesting is. Manifesting is deciding what you want and then bringing that vision into reality. So what can you manifest? Anything you’d like. Their is no shortage of abundance in the universe, so don’t be shy. A million dollars? Sure. A quiet life? Great! The possibilities are as endless as your imagination. The hardest part of all of this is figuring out what exactly it is that you want.
I will throw some caution out here – manifesting money is wonderful, but rather than deciding money will solve all, what will the money do for you? Are you trying to pay off a debt? Are you looking for a sense of security? I would suggest manifesting the actual end goal, not just money for money’s sake. Money is a means to make things happen, but it’s not the only way to solve problems or make life better. Manifesting isn’t three wishes from a genie either. You can keep doing this as much as you’d like. Also, don’t mess with other people’s free will in your manifesting. If you don’t want someone else deciding your fate for you, don’t do it for someone else either.
Without further ado, here’s how to manifest:
- Decide what you want.
- Hold your manifestation in your mind and body – feel it, taste is, see it, smell it. Use all your senses to understand what having this thing is like.
- Another great practice to get to this feeling is creating a vision board
- Let it go.
That’s it. Seriously. Deciding what you want, integrating it into yourself, then letting it go into the world enough to let it happen are the biggest challenges in making something happen.
I tend to make these steps into a meditation. I’ll decide I want something, so I’ll sit and meditate on the vision. At the end of my meditation, I imagine putting this manifestation into a balloon and letting the balloon float away. I’m trusting the universe to find my balloon and to make that thing happen.
As you move forward after manifesting, you’ll need to recognize the opportunities as they come to you and seize them. Manifesting isn’t just having something magically thrown in your lap, there is some work on your part involved. So if the dream is actually million bucks, it might mean you need to act on the business idea that you dreamt about. You might become a game show contestant or you might buy a lottery ticket. Be open to how things show up for you. More likely than not, the steps to make the manifestation happen will come to you unexpectedly.
Have you manifested anything before? What’s the coolest thing you’ve manifested? Let me know in the comments!
