You are probably here because you know me as the person that uses dowsing rods to ask spirit questions. Another reason people use dowsing rods is to find things. Traditionally, this includes finding water or minerals, but you can use the dowsing rods to find whatever is in need of finding. Sometimes even yourself, although I might refer to you asking spirit questions for that. I commonly use the dowsing rods to find the TV remote and other objects, but you can use it to find lost pets or people too. Please be sure to involve the appropriate authorities in the case of missing people (or pets).
Before you continue on with the instructions, I recommend reading the how-to-use dowsing rods tutorial first so you have a good understanding of how the rods work for you.
To find the lost thing, first be in that meditative state where the dowsing rods are moving for you and you feel/know/sense/see that you are connected with spirit. Then, ask for the help of St. Anthony (or whichever spirit is calling to you). Some other deities you can ask for help from include Hermes, Anagolay, Araikasu Amman, or Mercury. I haven’t personally worked with all of them, so I can’t vouch for their ability to help, but they are associated with lost things in their respective areas. I’ve had a lot of help from St. Anthony personally, so I recommend him for this sort of task.
After you’re connected in with spirit, hold the energy of the object close to you. That might mean seeing an image of the object/person/pet in your mind or hearing the sound of them from your memory. If it’s a person or a pet, you can smell something of theirs. You can think of your time together and how it made you feel. The intent of this step is to make sure that you are aligning to their energy / vibration. Once you are aligned to the energy, ask the rods to cross when you should stop walking and confirm they will. Then ask the rods to point you towards where you should go. I like to walk about 10 steps and ask again. The rods may have you turn and keep walking. You can ask for clarifications such as “is ____ upstairs?” or “is ____ outside?” with the usual yes or no method. If you are asking for a pet or person and driving in the car, you can look at a map and have the rods point, or get in the car and drive. Clarifying questions might be “should I drive __ miles?” or “should I turn left (or right) at ___ street?”. Continue until the rods cross for you.
Some caveats as always apply here. The object / being has to want to be found. If somebody doesn’t want to be found badly enough, they won’t be. To do so otherwise would be a violation of their free will. Some objects get lost in time and space and are incapable of being found because they literally don’t exist on this plane right now. You can read more about glitches in the matrix here if you’re curious. In this case, I HIGHLY recommend asking St. Anthony for help. Father time is also a good one to ask for these edge cases. The matrix likes to correct itself and that means making sure the object is back in the correct dimension.
Are the dowsing rods sending you in circles? Sometimes you can tap into residual energy – meaning you are going to a place where that thing was previously located and it left a strong impression there (or was there when you started), but it has since moved on. In that case, I would stay in that spot and go through the setup process again to see if you can get a better / more updated reading. If you are still struggling after that, I would suggest asking a friend for help or booking a reading with an external party. Especially in the cases of lost people and pets, it can be hard to get past our own emotions to get a good reading on the location.
Have you found something lost with the dowsing rods? How did it go for you? Do you have any tips to add?
