If you follow along in my Instagram stories, chances are you’ve heard about my nightly dreams. I share these insights partly to share my spiritual development journey, and perhaps to overshare what’s going on in my brain, but also as another example of ways to be in contact with spirit or the other side or your higher self or God or who/whatever you’d like to call it.
Do you have a dream that you recall? Can you see the pictures from those dreams? Congratulations, you are clairvoyant! Your third eye is working wonderfully. Clairvoyance – or clear seeing – is the same as getting pictures from memories or dreams. You can use dreams as a means to develop your communication skills with spirit further. I’ll focus on communication while you sleep here and dive into clairvoyance while awake at a later time.
So how do you develop your dream recall? The best method is dream journaling. (You can grab my favorite journal and pens here) Each morning as soon as you wake up, write down whatever you remember about your dreams. It can be as small as a feeling or a color or it can be the extensive adventures you went on all night. It may take some time to recall your dreams throughout the day – it took me several weeks of dream journaling before things became really vivid.
There are some teas that I like to use to amplify the dream state, specifically, I’ll mix mugwort, blue lotus, and peppermint tea together. The peppermint is really just for flavor – mugwort isn’t a very pleasant taste. You’ll also want to avoid alcohol and marijuana – both disrupt your REM cycle and make it very challenging to dream.
Once you’ve developed good dream recall, you can start adding other intentions to enhance the messages you receive. You can buy a dream dictionary and tell yourself that you’ll use that to interpret your dreams. You can ask passed loved ones to show up so you know they are doing ok. Need help solving a huge problem? Your dream state will help!
I also like to sleep with crystals to help direct the energy. I have a whole blog about it here if you need help choosing one! Selenite is an excellent crystal to start with and have under your bed at all times to help cleanse the energy and keep things positive.
Over time, you’ll start to notice nuances in your dreams. Are the same people or symbols showing up constantly? Do you go back to the same place? Do you feel certain ways about certain situations/people/places after dreaming? How do you feel about a dream you had several months ago? What is spirit trying to communicate to you?
Let me know your most memorable dream below. Happy Dreaming!
