The Power of Stagnation: Why Routine Disruption is Your Secret Manifesting Tool

It’s the height of summer, and the energy right now feels slow. Forward movement is stagnant, especially in places where we usually spend most of our time, like work. More people are on vacation, kids are out of school, and social calendars are packed.

Our normal routines are completely disrupted.

But with disruption comes the perfect opportunity to reflect. While I usually keep these posts timeless, this seasonal shift is the perfect moment to pause. (Though honestly, this applies just as beautifully around the winter solstice, too!)

When the collective energy changes your daily habits, it opens up a space for co-creation. This is where manifestations are formulated. The subtle feelings of what you like or dislike as you look back will drive what moves you forward.

Creating your own disruption—whether big or small—is incredibly beneficial for your energy. Going on vacation, staying somewhere new for a weekend, or even just visiting a different local shop is enough to change the flow. That disruption creates a pause, making your next steps a conscious choice rather than autopilot. You get to ask: Is this habit serving me?

So, how does this fluffy theory apply to real life and SolarGlow?

Many of my own activities have slowed down this summer. Travel, family visits, and in-person dowsing events left very little space in my schedule. All of my normal routines were disrupted (except sleeping!). Because of that, I’ve had to pause specific projects for a bit (coughs in reiki videos).

At the beach with my family, disrupting my routine!

Looking ahead to autumn, I intend to pick those projects back up (coughs again in reiki videos) and add a couple of exciting new ones to the list. I am actively working to leave behind what no longer serves me—like too much doom scrolling—and lean into what does, like spending more time being creative.

What are you planning as you look ahead? How has your routine been disrupted recently? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Ahh, that’s what I’m feeling. Perfect explanation – thank you!

  2. WOW!! Just wow. You’re talking directly to me with this.
Last week, I woke up one morning with a bunch of floaters in my right eye. Turns out, I had a retinal tear. I had emergency laser surgery on Monday; now I have to “take it easy” until my recheck next Friday. It is SO HARD to not do anything that could bump, jostle, or rub that eye. I can’t even mow my lawn or read books. Talk about routine disruption!!
Thanks for this post – I need to sit back and think about what I want to manifest next.
    Hmmmm…. lol
Love you and all your content, Megan. I hope you have a fabulous end of summer!

  3. Beach is also my disruptor, but no salt in my Lake Michigan water 🙂
I added a gym routine to my yoga and palates routine, so I feel a real disruption there. I love how you pointed out doom scrolling. We all need to work on it! I loved meeting you in Wisconsin and often think of you and your beautiful energy. Have a beautiful stagnation disruption time, Megan!

Salt air, sea breezes, sand in your shoes, that’s my kind of disruption!
