How has a whole year gone by? Time is so strange. In case you missed it, I was invited to the Monroe Institute in Faber, VA in 2025 to attend the infamous Gateway Voyage Program with a group of creators, influencers, and thought leaders. I attended the second year of this program and am so incredibly grateful for the experience. If you’d like a recap, I have a blog post here and a vlog here.

This time last year, I was in a place where I knew I’d like to leave my corporate job someday but was nervous about doing so. I wanted SolarGlowMeditations to be my full time job, but was unsure it would work out. Before heading to the Monroe Institute, I figured I’d give myself another year or so to pick between my job and SolarGlow – I knew I could not keep working a full time job and doing this, doing both was becoming too much. I’m happy to report that I left my corporate job in January of 2026 – a full 6 months ahead of the intended schedule. The conclusion that I’ve come to is that the program is excellent at speeding up life and bringing it into alignment.
If only I could emphasis the alignment piece a little more. I’m struggling to even come up with examples of this, but everything in my life just feels like it’s in alignment now. I’m doing what I want to be doing. Something has created abundance – whether that’s being in alignment or part of attending the program I’m not sure. In terms of SolarGlow, I have SO many requests for projects, collaborations, and opportunities – I decline more than 90% of what comes into my inbox because I simply don’t have the capacity to take on all of this work. I say yes to what spirit guides me towards and what I’m interested in, which is an incredible place to be. I also have no shortage of ideas for things I want to do on my own – courses, books, cards, dowsing rods. I want to create it all.
There are still a few questions I have coming out of the experience. If you watched the vlog, there was one meditation I went into in which I was abducted by aliens. I kept waiting for clarity on whether that truly happened to me or if I was drawing on other people’s experiences or something else entirely. I still have no idea why I was shown that and am still waiting for it to make sense. I get the sense that it will come to light when it’s intended to, but that particular memory and message has not been forgotten.
One habit that’s changed is how I go to sleep every night. As part of the in person program, you are given access to their Expand app for 6 months. The app includes the various focus levels and guided meditations to listen to. Each night, I go to sleep listening to a focus level – usually focus 12. Occasionally, I’ll venture over and listen to a YouTube guided meditation for something different, but I’m really partial to the app. (I use these headphones to listen for the full experience). I’m not sure if this is how my brain worked before the program, but I cannot sleep while listening to their “sleep” meditations or sounds. It makes me so uncomfortable to be in that state. I imagine my body gets to proper “sleep” or delta waves on it’s own, but I’m not entirely sure. The sounds they played in the chec units while sleeping (the delta waves) was very uncomfortable initially, but I could turn those off while there.
Would I go back and do it all again? Absolutely! It’s incredible to think back on how much life has happened and how much can change in a year. I can only imagine what else is to come 🙂
If you’d like to attend their programs, use this link and use the code GVO-Megan for a discount. This year they launched an at home, self paced version of the program so you don’t have to take time away or travel to attend.
Have you attended one of their programs or used their app? What do you think? How has your life changed?
